Black is Beautiful is a international brewing project with aims to bring awareness to the injustices that many people of colour face daily. Through this project, brewers pledge to donate 100% of the proceeds of the beer to local organizations that support equality and inclusion. In Nova Scotia, we've teamed up with the African Nova Scotian Decade for People of African Decent Coalition (ANSDPAD), and they will be the beneficiaries of all proceeds from this release!

ANSDPAD is a coalition which is working to see that African Nova Scotian people and communities are recognized and supported as an integral part of Nova Scotia’s past, present and future through community support, health and justice strategies. Our version of Black is Beautiful has been aged in Glenora Whiskey barrels and further conditioned in the can. It has a beautiful tan foam and pours clear and black. Aromatics of chocolate dominate with hints of red fruit and vanilla. Full bodied and lightly sweet, the flavours are of baking chocolate, dark roast coffee and a hint of cherry. Finishes dry, and lightly bitter, ready for another drink and a toast to a great cause.
